Baldwinsville is a village in Onondaga County, New York and is a part of Syracuse metropolitan statistical area. It is located in the towns of Lysander and Van Buren. Tracing the history of Baldwinsville, it derives its name from Dr. Baldwin and his wife Eliza, who started the community in 1808. He also contributed his part to build a dam across the Seneca River and a private canal

In July, Seneca river day's festival is organized by the rotary club whose highlight is anything that floats race. There is an amphitheater at Paper Mill Island and many functions are held there, apart from several local, regional and national bands that play through out the summer seasons.

The village also has a Theatre 90, which is both performing arts and an education institution, running for about two decades.
